I have had an interest in astronomy for quite a while. These pictures are all of the night sky, stars, moon; they include landscapes or local towns. The star trails in the photos occur because of the earth's rotation. If you look over a few hours time the stars will be in a different location in the sky. Also, I am interested in the contrast of the perfect beautiful sky, like a possibility of eternity with its light that has taken millions of years to get here and the messier, imperfect, more transitory world underneath. The stars and moon in these pictures are all streaks of light because of the long exposure times. The exposure times were anywhere from 2 minutes to the entire night.
